The Seniors and Reserves travelled to Lifford on Saturday evening. The reserves were defeated by a youthful Lifford team. The seniors played poorly in the opening half but a much improved display in the second half almost overturned a five point deficit. The hosts held on to win 1.9 to 0.11. They travel to Moville this Saturday evening with throw inns at 6pm and 7.30pm..
The minors recorded a good win over Fanad on Friday evening at Portsalon with great performances from James Carr, Patrick Doherty and Oisín McElhinney.
The Under 16s lost out to Buncrana on Sunday evening in the Northern Shield semi-final.
The Gaels hosted Cloughaneely in our first u12 outing this year, Our green team were four points behind after 7 minutes, and it took them a few minutes to settle and register our first score, and by half time Gaels had taken a slender lead, which they did not relinquish in the second half even though Cloughaneely narrowed the gap the Gaels held on to run out winners by a score of 3.10 to 2.7. A good team effort with an excellent display from Ross Marley. The orange team also enjoyed a narrow win over the visitors 2.6 to 1.5 with good displays from Ciaran Patton and Niall Diver. Next week we are away to Fanad.
