Club Notes W/Ending 05/05/2014

The Senior team had a great win over Naomh Ultan at the Glebe last Sunday. A late Conor Mc Brearty goal sealed the victory. Final score 1-10 to 0-10. The Reserves came from behind to claim a deserved draw. Next up this weekend the Seniors are away to Na Rossa. The Reserves have no game. See Facebook for  throw in time.
  • Training for Seniors and Reserves continues at Pairc na nGael every Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm. New players always welcome.

We are having our annual 5K road race and fun run/walk on Sunday 18th May. The race is on a flat course which should bring good times. More details next week.

We are currently looking for girls aged 9-12 to join our U12 Gaelic football squad. Training on Wednesday evening from 6.30-7.30. Contact Jim Farrell on 086 0566893 for more details.

Congratulations to Eimear Quinn on winning the recent Feile skills competition. She now goes on to represent Donegal at Ulster Feile 2014 later in the year.

In Camogie our 5th & 6th class girls were narrowly defeated by Burt in the league. Congratulations to Burt on winning the league on the night. The girls played their best match of the year and were competitive in all areas of the pitch. It was an outstanding display and shows great potential for the future of Camogie within the Gaels.
  • Camogie training continues every Tuesday evening at Pairc na nGael from 6-7pm for 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th class. 5th, 6th class & Secondary school on Monday evening 6-7.30pm at Pairc na nGael. Contact 086 8163605 for information.  New players welcome. .
Our U16 lads play away this weekend to Red Hughs.
  • Training continues every Wednesday and Friday at 5.30pm.
  • U6, U8, & U10 football is on at Pairc na nGael every Sunday morning from 11-12pm. New members welcome.
  • Hurling training for U6, U8, U10 and U12 continues at the pitch every Thursday evening from 6.30-7.30pm. Hurleys and helmets provided for training. New members welcome

Club members wishing to avail of Club Donegal should contact Jim on 0862271435. Membership includes free admission to all Club League & Championship games in the county for 2014.
