Club Notes W/Ending 28/04/2014

Our Seniors and Reserves continued their season with wins over Naomh Padraig Muff on Saturday evening last. The score in the Senior game was Muff 0.9-2.10 Letterkenny Gaels while the reserves won on a scoreline of 2.07-1.08. Next up this weekend, we are at home to NaomhUltan.   • Training for Seniors and Reserves continues at PaircnanGael every Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm. New players always welcome.
Congratulations to Eimear Quinn on winning the recent Feile skills competition. She now goes on to represent Donegal at Feile 2014 later in the year.
In Camogie our 5th& 6th class girls travelled to Four Masters and came away with a good win.
Well done to our girls on the Donegal U16 Camogie squad who took part in the Pan Celtic Camogie competition at the weekend. They were unlucky to lose out in the semi-final.

Our U14s had a good win over neighbours St Eunans last weekend in the Northern Board Division 2 q-final. They play Urris in the Semi-final.

Our U16 lads start their season this Friday 2nd May at 7pm  at home to Robert Emmetts. All support welcome.   
  • U16 football training continues every Wednesday and Friday at 5.30pm.
  • U6, U8,&U10 football continues at PaircnanGael every Sunday morning from 11-12pm. New members welcome.
  • The U8 & U10 hurlers played in their first blitz of the year in Convoy last weekend. We won 5 out of 8games  in what was a very competitive and enjoyable day.
  • Hurling training for U6, U8, U10 and U12 continues at the pitch every Thursday evening from 6.30-7.30pm. Hurleys and helmets provided for training.
Club members wishing to avail of Club Donegal should contact Jim on 0862271435. Membership includes free admission to all Club League & Championship games in the county for 2014.
With regard to home and car insurance we have teamed up with Liberty Insurance who will give €50 to the club for every new policy taken out with them before 30th April. All you have to do is nominate Letterkenny Gaels.

Last week’s lotto numbers were 2, 8, 27 & 28. Match 3 winner was Catherine Morgan, Friends of the Gaels. This week’s lotto numbers are 7, 20, 21, & 22. Match 3 winner was Seamus Mc Laughlin, Friends of the Gaels. Thenumbers in our club lotto have increased to 28. Any members of Friends of the Gaels wishing to change their weekly numbers should contact John McDermott or Sharon Harnet.
