Letterkenny Gaels hurlers seal victory over local rivals

Thurs night in the Under-14 All-County Hurling League, Letterkenny

Gaels had a comprehensive victory over St. Eunan's by 6 - 5 to 3 - 2 . This is their third victory in a row in the league having previously beaten both Carndonagh and Dungloe.

This team is ploughing a new furrow. Hurling in the club was first begun in 2006 under the stewardship of the late Liam Emery and Dan Harnett, present Club Chairman. In later years Stephen Doherty, team manager and William O'Donnell, team mentor, have been working with this team as they have developed through the age groups.

Many of the present team have been associated with the team since the beginning and with many of the same team of players, Letterkenny Gaels won the Under-14B Championship in 2011. With the addition of a few newcomers they are now coming of age as a very strong team.
