posted 24 Jul 2012, 03:43 by Letterkenny Gaels
The seniors and reserves hosted neighbours Naomh Colmcille on Saturday evening last. The reserves were well beaten by the much superior visitors. The Senior game was a much closer affair with both teams playing some excellent football. The first half goals made sure that the newtown men took a firm grip of the game but both teams gave a quality display. The teams are scheduled to meet again in the reverse fixture on Saturday evening.
The Minors play Termon in the minor championship on the 1st of August.
The U14s were defeated by Red Hughs in the championship on Wednesday evening last. Training continues on Wednesday evenings with the Shield Final against Robert Emmetts coming up..
Letterkenny Gaels hosted U10 gaelic blitz on Saturday morning with teams visiting from Glenfin, St. Michaels & Gweedore. Our 2 teams played very well winning most of their matches and showed good skills. Thanks to young whistlers for refereeing and to all parents and helpers for refreshments.
U12 camogie girls travelled to McCumhaills for their league match and came home with the points. Final match is at home vs Carndonagh. Training on Tues 6pm and new players always welcome.
