Club Notes W/Ending 20/05/2012

The Seniors recorded a good away victory against Na Rossa on Saturday evening last. The Reserves travelled light on Saturday and were defeated narrowly. Best wishes and a speedy recovery to Aaron Diver who sustained a knee injury in the match. The Seniors are away to Robert Emmett's on Saturday evening next . Throw Inn at 7.30pm .

The
U12s hosted Milford at the Glebe on Monday evening, our orange team were our first out and a great competitive game ensued, with the Gaels winning by the tightest of margins on a score of 3.3 to 2.2, good performances from Oisín Keenan, Ronan Kelly, Brian McHugh and Lee Walsh. The Green team were out next and this was a good game of entertaining football served up by both teams on a lovely evening. Gaels went into an early lead which they never relinquished although Milford narrowed the gap after half time to 2 points before the Gaels scored a goal to ensure the victory. Final score Gaels 3.5 Milford 1.6, good team performance with Connor Walker, Brian Melaugh, Sean O Baoil and Taylor Cassidy having outstanding performances in defence, Mickey Sweeney and Ross Marley were excellent in midfield with Kieran Patton and Connor Kilfeather playing well in the forwards. Away to Termon next week. Thanks to all the parents who helped with the teas.
 
The U12 hurlers played their first blitz in Ballyshannon. Our young team tried hard against experienced opposition and will learn from their matches.
 
U14 hurlers finished their league in Carndonagh and despite hard work, were defeated. Championship match is in two weeks, details at training.

Buncrana,Newtoncunningham and Glenswilly were the visitors to Gaels for the U8 gaelic blitz. All players performed well. Thanks to everyone who helped on the night.
