U12 teams travelled to Termon on Monday, where the orange team kicked off proceedings and encountered a strong Termon team and were well beaten in the end, the boys put up a good performance despite missing some players. The Green teams then took the field and Termon had the ball in the back of the Gaels net within minutes of the start. However the Gaels did not panic and after scoring a few points, scored the first of a few goals. This was an exciting and enjoyable game of football played in the true spirit of the game. The Gaels led by a slim margin at half time and Termon started the second half with two unanswered points before the Gaels got back on the score sheet before running out winners on a score of 5-9 to 1-7 This was a great team effort and all players and subs played very well. Thanks to Termon for an excellent referee and a very sporting game. We entertain Glenswilly at home next Monday.
Congratulations to players Peter O’Donnell, Niamh Hanley, Laura Foody and Ellen Quinn who took part in Cuman na Bunscoil mini games at half time in the Nicky Rackard semi final.
