Club Notes W/E 1st April 2012

The seniors and reserves got their league campaigns underway on Saturday evening last. The reserves recorded a good win over Na Rossa (3.9 to 0.5) with Pauric Breslin notching 2.4 of the total. The senior game ended in a draw after we turned a five point deficit around to gain a deserved draw. Both teams are at home to Robert Emmetts this Saturday evening.
 
The under 16s recorded a good win over Downings on Sunday last. Patrick DoheGreat performances from Conor Browne rty and Kyle Silvia. Next game is home to Fanad Gaels on the 16th April.
 
The Minors open their league campaign on Friday evening when they play St Michaels at the Bridge.
 
  •  The underage training for U6 to U12s has commenced on Sunday mornings 11am at Páirc na nGael.
  • The U14 Boys football training has commenced on Wednesday evenings 6.30-7.30pm.
  • U14 Training Tues, 5.45 - 7.00pm sharp all newcomers welcome.
  • Training hurling  U6/U8/U10 &U12 Thurs 6.30pm all welcome.
  • U14 Girls Training Mon 6pm.
No U6/U8/U10 training next Sunday for Easter - training resumes Sunday 15th at 11am. New members always welcome
 
The Club are currently inviting ladies to join a six week "Gaelic for Mums and Others" programme. Enjoy playing Ladies Gaelic Football in a fun, non-competitive and social environment. Great way to get your recommended weekly exercise in a fun way while meeting others. Commencing Monday April 2nd 2012, 7pm-8.15pm. Venue: Letterkenny Gaels Pitch. Cost for six weeks is 24Euro. The U14 hurlers started the league with an away defeat to Burt, all players did well on the night. Next match is at home vs. Carndonagh, Thurs 5th - all players to be at pitch for 3.00pm sharp. .
 
 
The club hosted a very enjoyable U10 hurling blitz last Sunday with Gweedore & Dungloe taking part. All players got lots of matches and enjoyed their hurling.
 
U14 girls gaelic travelled to Fanad Gaels in their opening league match and were defeated by a very strong team. Well done to all girls who played. 
 
Lotto results for W/ending the 1st April are No’s 9,11,22 &24 .Match 3 winner was Tom McDonagh, 55 Carolina Park. Next weekend Jackpot is 2550 Euro
