Club notes 28th June 2016

posted 28 Jun 2016, 08:27 by Letterkenny Gaels   [ updated 28 Jun 2016, 08:28 ]

This weekend will be a busy one with both the Junior A and Junior B Championships taking place. First up on Friday evening the Junior B lads welcome Naomh Padraig Lifford to Pairc na nGael with an 8pm throw in. Then on Sunday afternoon attention turns to the Senior footballers who are away to Naomh Mhuire Convoy in the Junior A Championship. This game has a 3pm throw in time.
Please come out and show your support to both teams.

Our U-12 footballers made the short journey to O'Donnell Park to take on neighbours St. Eunans last Wednesday evening. The lads acquitted themselves well and despite showing a great display of football they lost a very competitive game. Great effort boys.

Gaeil Leitir Ceanainn U-16 hurlers started their league campaign with an away game to Ballyshannon on Thursday past. In a finely balanced game Ballyshannon were the victors. A great display from all and we look forward to a good season.

Well done to Eimear, Caoimhe and Ornaith who represented Donegal and Letterkenny Gaels Camogie at the recent Ulster blitz.

Our under 10 teams travelled to Glenfin on Friday and played highly entertaining games against the hosts and Gweedore. Both games were high scoring affairs with plenty of skill and determination on show. Thanks to all players, coaches and parents who travelled and helped out. Thanks to Glenfin GAA for hosting.
