Club News 24th July

posted 24 Jul 2018, 15:51 by Letterkenny Gaels   [ updated 24 Jul 2018, 15:51 ]

The senior footballers lost out to Urris last Sunday and will play Pettigo in their final league match of the season this weekend. Please see Facebook for fixture details.

The minor footballers opened their Championship campaign with a good away win over Glenfin on Wednesday past. The lads are at home this week to Aodh Ruadh.

The Hurling Fun Week took place last week at Páirc na nGael where Club hurlers enjoyed a fun filled week of games and drills. The children were joined on the Wednesday by a group of Basque children and their leaders who are staying in the Letterkenny area. The children enjoyed the day sharing our language, culture and sport in a fun way. Thanks to Stephen, Sharon and their helpers.

Páirc na nGael was a hive of activity during the week where over 150 children took part in our annual Kellogg’s Cúl Camp. Thanks to all for taking part and to Sean Mc Brearty and his team of coaches and helpers.

The Club are set to benefit from the Tesco Community Fund via their Blue Token campaign. Over the next eight weeks we are urging Club members and supporters of Letterkenny Gaels to place their Blue tokens in the Gaels slot at the Tesco exit in Letterkenny Shopping Centre. The more tokens collected for Gaels, the more we will benefit.
Please spread the word and thanks in advance for your support.
