Letterkenny Gaels Minor Footballer Shay Doherty took to the field with the Donegal Minors in their Ulster quarter final match against Antrim on Sunday and contributed 2 points from play. Although the game finished in defeat for Donegal, it was a proud day for the club and Shay's family.

Well done to our U-9 & U-10 footballers who played in the Community Games football competition in Glenswilly on Saturday. On Friday evening our U-14 footballers travelled to Convoy for a league match against St. Mary's Convoy. The boys had a superb game but tired towards the end and Convoy prevailed. There was some great courage and skill on show from both teams. The Gaels had four U-12 players involved in the game and took the game to Convoy. Big thank you to all parents who travelled. Underage football training takes place every Sunday morning at Páirc na nGael from 11am to 12 noon.

Congratulations to our U-14 hurlers who had a good win over Aodh Ruadh in the league last Thursday. This victory ensures that the lads are guaranteed a place in the Shield final next this week. Also last week the Minor hurlers recorded a good win over Carndonagh. Underage training continues every Thursday evening from 6.30-7.30pm. New players always welcome.
  • U-16s girls and younger football training continues on Sunday mornings from 11am-12 noon at Pairc na nGael. Over 16/seniors training is on Fridays at 6:30 at Pairc na Gael.

The underage Camogs had a welcome surprise at training last Friday night when they swapped their Camáns for a team bonding session with Arts & Crafts from Lynette Rodgers at Art & Soul. Outdoor Camogie Training for U-8, U-10 & U-12 continues every Friday evening at the pitch from 6-7pm. U-12, U-14 & U-16 training continues at the pitch every Monday evening from 6-7.30pm. New players always welcome.

Sympathy is extended to our Cathaoirleach Charlie Cannon and his family on the recent passing of Charlie's uncle James Mc Gee, Convoy.
