Letterkenny Gaels GAA Club presented their spectacular “Jigs & Reels” in the Mount Errigal Hotel on Sunday evening last. This was the Club’s first venture into such a project culminating in a spectacular show enjoyed by all in attendance.
The Club Organising Committee led by Charlie Cannon and dancers put in a huge effort since January in rehearsals and preparation. Tutors, Alison Quigley-Gordon and Coleen Quigley put the dancers through their paces to produce a show of real quality.
Those who showed off their skills were Barry McElaney and Aoife Cannon, Ethan Mulrennan and Laura Cannon, Michael O’Connor and Louise O’Callaghan, Aaron Stewart and Michelle Kelly, John Doran and Monica McDonagh, Ciaran Diver and Anne Kirwan, Oisín Cannon and Lisa Shiels, Liam Cannon and Emer Kelly, James and Bernie Frain, Anthony McDaid and Geraldine Gibbons, Mark McFadden and Fiona Gallagher, Gary and Patricia Coll, Mark O’Leary and Casey O’Dwyer, Tom Murray and Kathleen Browne, Pauline Coll and Nicky McGarrigle.
Joint hosts, James Gordon and Emma McGrath introduced the talented dancers before the Judging Panel of Brighdín Carr, Sharon McCaul-Kelly and Chairman of the Judges Panel, Fr Brian Quinn.
The Judges selected Michelle Kelly and Aaron Stewart as winners and the audience vote went to Louise O’Callaghan and Michael O’Connor.
On the night everyone involved were winners.
The crowd was also treated during the interval to an excellent display by Dancers from the Adhamhnáin Academy of Irish Dance and the night’s celebrations concluded
with DJ and Club Player, Oisín Cannon providing the Disco music.

The Footballers, Hurlers and members alike will now turn their attention to on the field activities with the various competitions commencing over the coming weeks. The Club are also looking forward to the opening of their new Club House later in the year.
